CRPF Full Form

CRPF Full Form is the official name of the Central Reserved Police Force .The Central Reserve Police Force ( CRPF) earns the name of being the largest of India's Central Armed Police Forces. It operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) of the Government of India.

The CRPF's primary role is assisting the State/Union Territories in police operations to ensure law , order and peace and combat insurgency. The CRPF has been in charge of the lead in anti-Naxal operation for the last five years, and has achieved milestones worth conidering.

CRPF Full Form - A Brief History

CRPF was originally established by an official part of the Crown Representative Police in 1939, it is one of the oldest Central paramilitary forces (now known as the Central Armed Police Force). CRPF was established in response to the political unrest and the insurgency within the Princely States of India following the Madras Resolution of the All-India Congress Committee in 1936 and the increasing desire for the Crown Rep to aid the vast majority of native States to maintain the law and order that was a part of the imperial policies.

Following the declaration of independence, the force was renamed as Central Reserve Police Force by an Act of Parliament on December 28th 1949. This Act established CRPF as an armed force within the Union. Sardar Vallabh bhai Patel, the Home Minister at the time, imagined a variety of roles that was in line with the ever-changing demands of a new independent nation.

The CRPF Rules as envisaged in CRPF Act were framed in 1955 and published by the Gazette of India dated March 25 in 1955. Shri V.G.Kanetkar was named the first Director General of CRPF.since that time, it has been working relentlessly to improve the quality of life in India more peaceful as well as a sanctuary of peace.
